Chapter 1:

Integrating Requirement of PBX
 with EVM series Voice Mail System


 Basic requirement: 

1.Single Line Telephone Port (EVM must connect to SLT PORT)

2.SLT can operate HOOK FLASH to transfer the external lines

 Alternative requirement: 

  1. Is SLT able to turn the message lamp on?

    YES: When Mailboxes receive the new messages, EVM is able to notify the Extn by turning the message lamp on.

    NO: When Mailboxes receive the new messages, EVM is able to notify the Extn by ringing the extension of mailbox.

     

  2. While extension of PBX is having the conversation with SLT internally, is the extension still able to dial DTMF signal and send out to SLT?

    YES: Extension can dial into EVM for listening to the message from internal line.

    NO: Extension must dial into EVM for listening to the message from external line or simulated external line.

  3. Is PBX able to send out ID code to SLT PORT?

YES:
1.EVM is able to set “release immediately after transfer and detect the ID code sent by PBX. And then EVM will play no answer and line busy prompt.
2.While the intercom calling to Extn is in no answer or line busy status, if call forwarded to EVM has been set, the intercom can leave the message to mailbox of the Extn.

NO: EVM must set supervised transfer for transferring the incoming call. After detecting BUSY TONE or RING-BACK TONE, EVM will retrieve the incoming call and play the no answer or line busy prompt.
